How to turn on your phone's flashlight
Your phone has a light on the back, very handy for finding a keyhole or reading a menu in a dark restaurant.
On an Android phone
- 1Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick settings panel.
- 2Tap the flashlight icon 🔦.
- 3The light comes on at the back of the phone.
- 4To turn it off, tap the same icon again.
On an iPhone
- 1On the lock screen, press and hold the flashlight icon at the bottom left.
- 2Or open Control Centre (top-right corner) and tap the flashlight.
Good to know: You can also ask out loud: "Hey Google, turn on the flashlight" on Android, "Hey Siri, turn on the flashlight" on iPhone.
