How to adjust the volume on your phone
Can't hear the ringtone, or the other person's voice is too quiet? The volume is controlled by two small buttons on the side of the phone.
On an Android phone
- 1Find the two small buttons on the right side of the phone.
- 2The top button turns the volume up, the bottom one turns it down.
- 3Gently press the top button: a bar appears on the side of the screen showing the sound level.
- 4Press several times until the level suits you.
On an iPhone
- 1The volume buttons are on the left side of the iPhone.
- 2The top button turns the sound up, the bottom one turns it down.
Good to know: During a call, these same buttons control the volume of the other person's voice. Outside a call, they control the ringtone or the sound of videos.
